About this artwork
A grid of numbers fills the canvas in this detail from Roman Opalka's 19651 - ∞. The artwork is a study in repetition and progression, a visual representation of time and infinity.
The white numbers, painted meticulously in rows, create a rhythmic pattern that draws the eye across the canvas. The subtle variations in the numbers, the slight differences in their forms, add a sense of depth and texture to the piece. The overall effect is one of calm and contemplation, a quiet meditation on the passage of time.
This poster would work well in a study or a minimalist living space, where its quiet intensity can be fully appreciated.
