About this artwork
A jagged landscape of sharp lines and fractured forms unfolds in Jimmy Ernst's A Time For Fear. The artwork presents a world that feels both chaotic and carefully composed, where no shape is quite what it seems.
The composition is a puzzle of intersecting planes and angular shapes, with a palette dominated by earthy browns and muted greens. Ernst's use of line creates a sense of depth and movement, drawing the eye across the canvas in a restless journey. The overall effect is one of tension, as if the forms are locked in a silent, eternal struggle.
This poster brings a sense of intrigue to a study or library, where its complex forms can be contemplated at leisure.
