About this artwork

A wall of text builds itself before your eyes. Lawrence Weiner's A Wall Built... is a conceptual artwork that plays with language and space, inviting viewers to engage with the words and imagine the wall they describe. The artwork features bold, sans-serif text in black against a stark white background. The text reads 'A WALL BUILT TO THE MEASURE OF THE HORIZON,' creating a sense of depth and perspective. The simplicity of the color scheme and the clarity of the text draw the viewer in, encouraging contemplation of the ideas presented. This poster suits a study or library, where the interplay of text and concept can spark conversation and reflection.
