About this artwork
A celestial dance of light and shadow emerges in Zao Wou-Ki's After The Eclipse 11 August 99. The canvas pulses with energy, as if the sky itself has been captured in a moment of transformation.
The artwork is a symphony of deep blues and fiery oranges, where broad strokes of color intertwine and overlap. The interplay of light and dark creates a sense of movement, as if the colors are swirling and shifting before your eyes. The abstract forms suggest a landscape viewed from above, where rivers of color carve their paths through the terrain.
