About this artwork
A deluge of water cascades over a desolate landscape in Salvador Dali's Aquae Diluvii Super Terram Genesis 6 17. The artwork depicts a biblical flood, with a stark, dreamlike quality that only Dali could conjure.
The scene is dominated by a vast expanse of water, rendered in a palette of blues and grays. Amidst the chaos, a solitary boat and a handful of figures can be seen, their forms blurred and indistinct. The background is a barren landscape, punctuated by the occasional rock formation, adding a sense of desolation and isolation.
