About this artwork
Shadowy figures emerge from a haze of muted tones. In Alphonse Allais' Band Of Greyfriars In The Fog, the viewer is drawn into a mysterious procession that seems to float between the ethereal and the earthly.
The artwork presents a line of ghostly figures, their forms blurred and softened by the fog. The palette is restrained, dominated by shades of grey and muted browns, creating an atmosphere of quiet contemplation. The figures appear to be in motion, yet their forms are indistinct, adding to the sense of mystery and intrigue.
