About this artwork
Barnett Newman's Be II stands as a testament to the Color Field movement. The artwork is a study in simplicity and depth, inviting contemplation through its bold use of color and form. The composition features two narrow bands of color flanking a broader central field. The left band is a muted red, while the right is a pale blue. The central field is a stark white, creating a sense of balance and tension. The edges of the bands are slightly uneven, adding a touch of humanity to the otherwise precise composition. This poster would be well-suited to a minimalist space, where its bold simplicity can be fully appreciated.Questions about Be II
