About this artwork
A winding river snakes through the hills in Eyvind Earle's Big Sur Poem. The landscape is alive with movement, each curve of the river mirrored by the undulating hills and the sway of the trees. The colors are rich and deep, with the greens of the trees contrasting against the blues of the river and the sky. The painting is a study in contrasts, with the dark, almost black, outlines of the trees and hills set against the lighter colors of the sky and river. The trees, with their twisted trunks and full canopies, seem to dance across the canvas. The river, a ribbon of blue, weaves its way through the scene, reflecting the sky above and the trees on its banks. This poster brings a sense of the wild, untamed beauty of nature into any space. It's a conversation piece for a study or a focal point for a living room.Questions about Big Sur Poem
