About this artwork
A sturdy bridge arches over the Riou in this Fauvist landscape. Andre Derain's Bridge Over The Riou captures the scene with bold colors and dynamic brushwork, a hallmark of his early 20th-century style.
The river flows in hues of cobalt and emerald, contrasting with the warm ochre and crimson of the bridge and surrounding foliage. The composition is lively, with swift brushstrokes creating a sense of movement and energy. The trees and shrubs are rendered in vivid greens and yellows, adding to the overall intensity of the scene.
This poster brings a burst of color to any room, ideal for spaces that benefit from a lively and energetic atmosphere.
