About this artwork

Winding caterpillar tracks cross the canvas in Caterpillar Dreaming. This artwork by Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri invites viewers into a world of ancestral stories and sacred symbols, rendered in the artist's distinctive style. The composition pulses with rhythmic patterns, where ochre and umber tones dominate. Dots and circles form the caterpillars' segmented bodies, creating a sense of movement across the earthy background. The repetition of forms builds a meditative quality, drawing the eye along the creatures' paths. This print brings depth to a study or library. The narrative quality sparks conversation while the warm palette complements rich wood tones.
