About this artwork
A single tree stands in isolation. *Cedar*, painted by Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, presents a solitary form against a muted background, its branches reaching outward as if to embrace the empty space around it.
The cedar is rendered with delicate lines, its form both precise and ethereal. The background is a soft, almost textured expanse, allowing the tree to dominate the composition. The palette is subdued, with earthy tones that ground the image in a quiet, contemplative mood. The simplicity of the scene draws the eye inward, inviting reflection.
This poster suits a study or reading nook, where its understated presence complements moments of focus and thought.
