About this artwork
A series of overlapping circles radiates outward in Composition 27. Sonia Delaunay builds rhythm through repetition, with each concentric form pulsing against its neighbors. The palette of cobalt, ochre, and crimson creates a sense of movement, as if the colors themselves are spinning across the canvas.
The circles vary in thickness and hue, their edges sharply defined. Some rings break into arcs, adding complexity to the composition. The interplay of warm and cool tones generates visual energy, while the precise geometry grounds the piece in structure.
This poster brings focus to a quiet study or hallway. The bold patterns reward close viewing but feel cohesive from across a room.
