About this artwork
A single iris unfurls its petals in this artwork by Georgia O'Keeffe. Dark Iris №2 is a study in contrast, where the delicate meets the dramatic. The flower's deep purple petals dominate the canvas, their velvety texture almost palpable against the stark background. The iris is rendered in such detail that each vein and shadow is visible, creating a sense of depth and dimension. The background, a soft gradient of dark hues, serves to highlight the flower's intricate form. The interplay of light and shadow adds a dynamic quality to the composition. This poster brings a sense of quiet intensity to any room. It works well in a study or bedroom, where its contemplative nature can be fully appreciated.Questions about Dark Iris №2
