About this artwork
A cascade of cobalt and white dominates the canvas in Sam Francis' Decent. The artwork draws the eye into its depths, where color and form intertwine in a silent dialogue.
The composition is a symphony of controlled chaos, with splatters of deep blue contrasting against the stark white background. The interplay of light and shadow creates a sense of movement, as if the colors are dancing across the surface. The artist's use of negative space adds a layer of complexity, inviting the viewer to pause and reflect.
This poster brings a sense of calm and contemplation to a study or library, where its intricate details can be fully appreciated.
