About this artwork

A woman reclines on a blue eiderdown in this evocative piece titled E O W On Her Blue Eiderdown III. The artwork draws the viewer into a quiet, intimate moment, rendered with a palette that feels both muted and alive. Auerbach's signature thick impasto technique is evident here, with layers of paint building up to create a sense of depth and texture. The blue of the eiderdown contrasts with the warmer tones of the figure, making her presence both subtle and undeniable. The brushstrokes are bold yet tender, capturing the essence of the subject with raw honesty. This poster brings a sense of calm and introspection to a bedroom or study, where its quiet intensity can be fully appreciated.
