About this artwork
Two intersecting shapes emerge in bold contrast. Carmen Herrera's 'Encounter' presents a dynamic interplay of form and space, where geometry takes center stage. The composition is simple yet profound, a testament to Herrera's mastery of minimalism. A cobalt rectangle floats against a stark white background, meeting a vivid orange line at a precise angle. The intersection creates a sense of tension and balance, a visual dialogue between the two forms. The colors are pure and unmodulated, the edges sharp and definitive. Herrera's use of space is as deliberate as her use of color, each element carefully considered and placed. This poster brings focus to a study or library, where its clarity and precision can be appreciated. It invites contemplation and conversation, a quiet yet powerful presence on the wall.Questions about Encounter
