About this artwork
Two apples rest on a table, their forms exploding with color. Audrey Flack’s Energy Apples is a still life that hums with tension, a quiet subject given dynamic force.
The apples sit in stark contrast to their background, a deep black that makes the reds and yellows leap forward. The colors are bold, almost electric, with sharp outlines that give the fruit a sense of weight and presence. The composition is simple, yet it feels alive, as if the apples might roll off the table at any moment.
This poster brings a jolt of energy to a kitchen or dining area, where its vivid colors can play against everyday objects.
