About this artwork
A chaotic jumble of scribbles and shapes fills the canvas in Jean Dubuffet's Episode. This artwork is a riot of raw energy, as if a child's drawing was given the complexity of an adult's mind. The background is a patchwork of muted reds and blues, covered in a web of black lines. Amidst this, shapes emerge and dissolve, some resembling faces or animals, others pure abstraction. The colors are earthy, with ochres and browns dominating, punctuated by flashes of brighter hues. This poster brings life to a study or den, where its wild energy can spark conversation.Questions about Episode
