About this artwork
Mathematical symbols float in a sea of ochre and cobalt. Equations by Jimmy Ernst is a study in contrasts, where the precision of numbers meets the fluidity of abstract expressionism. The artwork balances the rigidity of mathematical notation with the organic flow of paint, creating a unique visual experience.
The background is a warm ochre, providing a stark contrast to the cool cobalt of the mathematical symbols. The symbols themselves are scattered across the canvas, some overlapping, others standing alone. The brushstrokes are visible, adding a sense of movement and life to the otherwise static symbols. The interplay of colors and forms creates a dynamic tension that draws the eye.
This poster fits seamlessly into a study or office, where the blend of art and mathematics can inspire contemplation and creativity.
