About this artwork
A glass of water sits half full in Evian. Jasper Johns turns the ordinary into something profound, inviting the viewer to pause and consider the simplicity of the scene before them. The glass, transparent and delicate, reflects the light in a way that makes the water inside seem almost luminous. The background is a muted gray, allowing the glass and its contents to stand out. The composition is balanced, with the glass centered, drawing the viewer's eye directly to it. This print fits seamlessly into a modern kitchen or a minimalist dining area, where its quiet elegance can be appreciated.Questions about Evian
