About this artwork
Abstract forms drift across a muted canvas in Lenore Tawney's Floating Shapes. This artwork invites contemplation through its gentle interplay of geometry and space, creating a visual rhythm that feels both deliberate and free.
The composition balances organic and geometric elements, with soft-edged rectangles suspended in a pale field. Subtle variations in tone and texture give depth to the shapes, while the restrained palette of ochre, white, and gray lends a quiet elegance. The arrangement suggests movement, as if the forms are floating, shifting slowly across the surface.
This print suits a serene, uncluttered space where its understated presence can be fully appreciated.
