About this artwork
A large, drooping fan dominates the frame. Claes Oldenburg's Giant Soft Fan is a playful twist on the everyday, turning a household object into something extraordinary and thought-provoking.
The fan, rendered in soft, sagging fabric, is a study in contrasts. Its blades, usually rigid and functional, are here limp and seemingly boneless. The muted grays and whites of the fan stand out against the stark background, drawing attention to its unusual form and texture.
This poster brings a sense of whimsy and intrigue to any space, inviting viewers to see the ordinary in a new light.
