About this artwork
Three stacked rectangles fill the canvas in Adolph Gottlieb's Green, Ochre, Maroon. This 1969 composition balances bold color fields with subtle textural variations. The ochre rectangle at the center appears to glow, framed by the deep green above and rich maroon below. Thin lines of crosshatching emerge upon close inspection, adding complexity to the seemingly simple forms. The precise edges of each color field create a sense of order and stability, while the warm palette brings energy to any space. This poster suits modern interiors where its geometric clarity can complement clean-lined furniture and decor.
