About this artwork
A cascade of shapes and lines forms the core of Harps And Heart. This artwork by Alexander Calder is a study in balance and movement, where geometric forms interact in a delicate dance. The title suggests musicality, and the composition delivers rhythm through its arrangement of shapes and strings.
The interplay of black lines against a soft, muted background creates a sense of depth and dimension. Calder’s use of negative space allows the shapes to breathe, giving the composition a light, airy feel. The strings connecting the shapes add a dynamic element, suggesting motion and interaction between the forms.
This poster brings a sense of calm and sophistication to a study or library. The subtle colors and intricate design invite closer inspection.
