About this artwork

Wild daisies burst from a handcrafted vase in Morris Graves' Homemade Painting Of A Homemade Bouquet Of Sand Dune Daisies In A Homemade Vase. This 1982 work captures the artist's signature blend of simplicity and depth, where everyday objects become extraordinary through his gaze. The vase, roughly hewn yet charming, cradles a tumble of sand dune daisies. Their petals, rendered in soft whites and pale yellows, contrast with the muted blues and earthy browns of the background. Graves' delicate brushwork suggests both the fragility of the blooms and the quiet strength of their wild beauty. This print brings a touch of rustic elegance to any space, fitting seamlessly into a cozy study or a sunlit kitchen.
