About this artwork

A pale blue field dominates the canvas in Helen Frankenthaler's In On Blue. This artwork draws the eye into its serene depths, where subtle hues play across the surface. The composition is deceptively simple. Soft washes of color blend and bleed into one another, creating a sense of movement and fluidity. The pale blue background serves as a canvas for the interplay of light and color, with hints of lavender and peach adding warmth to the cool expanse. The edges of the color fields are soft and blurred, enhancing the dreamlike quality of the piece. This poster brings a sense of calm and sophistication to any space, making it an ideal choice for a bedroom or study.
