About this artwork
A golden haze drifts across the canvas in Helen Frankenthaler's Indian Summer. The artwork, a masterpiece of Color Field painting, invites viewers into a warm, luminous atmosphere that seems to shift and glow with an inner light. The subtle gradations of ochre, amber, and gold create a sense of depth and movement, as if the colors themselves are in a gentle, perpetual motion. The edges of the forms blur softly, blending seamlessly into one another, enhancing the dreamlike quality of the piece. This poster brings a radiant, contemplative presence to a study or quiet corner, where its subtle hues can be savored.
