About this artwork

A serene lake cradled by towering mountains unfolds in Lawren Harris' Lake And Mountains. The painting invites you into a world of quiet majesty, where the stillness of nature is almost palpable. Harris distills the landscape to its essential forms. The lake, a deep cobalt mirror, reflects the sky's pale blue. Mountains rise in layered ridges, their ochre and umber hues softened by distance. The composition feels both expansive and intimate, as if you could step into this untouched wilderness. This print brings a sense of calm to any space. It works well in a study or bedroom, where its quiet presence can be fully appreciated.
