About this artwork
A factory chimney rises above a village in this early Kandinsky painting. Landscape With Factory Chimney shows his transition toward abstraction, where buildings and trees blur into vivid shapes.
The scene is alive with ochre fields, cobalt smoke, and crimson rooftops. Kandinsky’s loose brushwork and crosshatching create movement, as if the wind itself is shaping the landscape. The factory stands stark against the softer curves of nature.
This poster brings depth to a study or office, where its industrial and natural elements can spark conversation.
