About this artwork
Rows of lipsticks march across the canvas in Wayne Thiebaud's Lipsticks. This playful artwork turns everyday objects into a parade of color and form, inviting a second look at the ordinary. The lipsticks, rendered in thick, creamy strokes, stand at attention like soldiers on display. Thiebaud's signature use of light and shadow gives each one a dimensional presence, while the muted background ensures they remain the stars of the show. The composition is both simple and complex, a testament to the artist's skill in transforming the mundane into something extraordinary. This poster brings a touch of whimsy to any space, perfect for adding character to a bedroom or a cozy reading nook.Questions about Lipsticks
