About this artwork
Rows of lipsticks stand in formation, their colors vivid and precise. This is *Lipsticks*, a study in repetition and variation by Wayne Thiebaud, where everyday objects become art through careful arrangement and bold color.
The lipsticks are rendered in thick, buttery strokes, their hues ranging from soft pinks to deep reds. The white background is not just empty space but an active part of the composition, its cool tone contrasting with the warmth of the lipsticks. Shadows are minimal, keeping the focus on the objects themselves.
This poster brings a sense of order and pop to a bathroom or vanity area, where the subject matter feels right at home.
