About this artwork
A cascade of dots descends in orderly rows, forming the backbone of Longing. This artwork by Damien Hirst presents a grid that feels both systematic and organic, as if mapping an unseen force. The composition balances cool blues and warm yellows, creating a rhythm that draws the eye downward. Each dot maintains its individuality, yet contributes to the whole, suggesting a tension between chaos and control. The precision of the dots contrasts with the emotional weight of the title, inviting contemplation. This poster suits a study or reading nook, where its structure and color can be absorbed over time.Questions about Longing
