About this artwork
A solitary loon floats on calm waters. In Sam Gilliam's *Loon*, the bird rests as if suspended between water and sky, a moment of stillness captured in time. The bird's reflection dances on the surface, mirroring its quiet grace.
The palette of blues and grays creates a serene atmosphere, with subtle hints of green and brown adding depth. Gilliam's brushstrokes are loose yet deliberate, conveying both the tranquility of the scene and the subtle energy of nature. The composition draws the eye to the loon, making it the focal point amidst the expanse of water.
This poster brings a sense of calm to any room. It suits a study, bedroom, or quiet corner where contemplation is welcomed.
