About this artwork
Rows of colorful pills form a grid against a white field. Damien Hirst's Lullaby confronts us with a pattern both clinical and oddly soothing. The repetition creates rhythm, while each capsule's unique hue adds complexity to the composition.
The precision of the grid contrasts with the organic imperfections of the printed pills. Some colors pop vividly forward, while others recede, creating a subtle depth. The white background amplifies both the vividness of the colors and the stark reality of the subject matter.
This print holds its own above a minimalist desk or in a modern kitchen. The bold colors demand attention while the structured composition provides order.
