About this artwork
Delicate lines dance across the paper, forming intricate patterns. In Mira Schendel's 'Toquinhos,' fine crosshatching covers the surface in a rhythmic play of light and shadow. The monochrome palette accentuates the delicate textures. Tiny dashes and strokes become a landscape of whispers. A minimalist mood, traced in pencil and paper. The image demands no more than a quiet corner. It waits for those who lean in close. As if sharing a secret, it hangs best where folks pause to enjoy a brew. It is the briefest of moments, when one can simply lean back, and get lost.
