About this artwork
A church stands tall against a hillside village. In Murnau With A Church, Kandinsky paints a scene that balances structure and spontaneity, where architecture meets the organic flow of nature.
The artwork is a symphony of colors, with ochre and cobalt dominating the scene. The church, painted in bold reds and whites, anchors the composition, while the surrounding buildings and trees are rendered in swirling, almost musical strokes. The sky, a lighter shade of blue, contrasts with the darker hues of the landscape, creating a sense of depth and dimension.
This poster brings a sense of harmony and balance to any room, its rich colors and dynamic composition inviting contemplation and conversation.
