About this artwork
A deer skull hangs above an arid landscape in Georgia O'Keeffe's My Backyard. The stark white bone contrasts sharply with the muted desert hues, creating a striking visual tension that draws the eye.
The painting is a study in contrasts, with the smooth, curved lines of the skull set against the rough, angular shapes of the desert terrain. The background is a soft blend of pale blues and pinks, suggesting a vast, open sky. The colors are subdued, yet they convey a sense of quiet intensity.
This poster would suit a study or library, where its contemplative mood can be appreciated.
