About this artwork
Nasturtiums in full bloom dominate the frame. This is Nasturtiums by Odilon Redon, a painting that brings the garden indoors with its vivid depiction of these climbing flowers.
The flowers are rendered in rich, warm hues, their orange and yellow petals contrasting against the softer greens of the leaves and stems. The background is muted, allowing the nasturtiums to take center stage. The composition is balanced, with the flowers spilling across the canvas in a natural, organic arrangement.
This poster would look at home in a kitchen or sunroom, where its botanical subject would complement the natural light and greenery.
