About this artwork

Two spheres rest in a wooden box. This is Painting With Two Balls Ulae 87, a Jasper Johns work that invites curiosity through its simplicity and precision. The balls sit snugly in their compartment, casting soft shadows. The wood grain shows through in places, adding texture to the composition. Johns' signature crosshatching appears in the background, a subtle contrast to the smooth surfaces of the spheres. This print suits a study or den, where its quiet presence can be appreciated over time.
