About this artwork
Loose, looping lines fill the canvas in Brice Marden's Post Calligraphic Drawing. The artwork is a study in controlled spontaneity, where every mark feels both deliberate and free.
The composition is a network of interconnected strokes, some bold and dark, others faint and barely there. They overlap and intertwine, creating a sense of depth and movement. The background, a pale expanse, allows the lines to breathe, their ink-black forms standing out with quiet intensity.
This print finds its place in a study or library, where the interplay of line and space invites contemplation.
