About this artwork
Above a mid-century sideboard, Purple Crash comes alive. This neo-expressionist work by Carlos Almaraz demands attention with its chaotic energy and bold use of color.
The canvas is a whirlwind of purple and blue hues, punctuated by jagged lines and frenetic brushstrokes. The abstract forms suggest a car crash, with twisted metal and shattered glass rendered in a palette of violet, cobalt, and crimson. The dynamic composition pulls the eye in multiple directions, creating a sense of movement and urgency.
This poster finds its place in a modern living room or a contemporary office space, where its vivid colors and expressive style can be fully appreciated.
