About this artwork

A woman's face peeks through the layers of color in Norman Bluhm's Pygmalion. The painting is a study in contrasts, where the softness of the feminine form meets the raw energy of abstract expressionism. Bluhm's brushstrokes are bold and deliberate, creating a sense of movement and rhythm across the canvas. The palette is dominated by warm hues of red, orange, and yellow, punctuated by cooler tones of blue and green. The interplay of these colors, along with the dynamic composition, draws the viewer in, inviting closer inspection. This art print brings a sense of depth and intrigue to any room, making it an ideal choice for spaces that crave a touch of artistic sophistication.
