About this artwork
A rainbow of dots shimmers across the canvas in Quare Fremuerunt Gentes. This is Damien Hirst's exploration of color and light, where each dot plays its part in a larger spectacle of visual harmony.
The diamond dust embedded in the paint catches the light, creating a subtle sparkle that shifts with your viewpoint. The grid of dots, each a different hue, forms a mosaic that is both orderly and chaotic. The colors range from deep blues to bright yellows, each one distinct yet part of a cohesive whole.
This poster brings a sense of wonder to a study or library, where the interplay of light and color can be appreciated in quiet contemplation.
