About this artwork
A circular form emerges from a wash of pale blue. Helen Frankenthaler's Radius explores the interplay between shape and fluidity, where the circle anchors the composition, yet its edges blur softly into the surrounding hues. The background is a delicate gradient, shifting from pale blue to a hint of lavender. The subtle variations in tone create a sense of depth and movement, as if the colors themselves are gently breathing. The overall effect is one of quiet contemplation, a moment frozen in time. The artwork's simplicity is its strength, with the circle's soft edges inviting the viewer to linger. The pale palette evokes a sense of calm, while the interplay of colors adds a layer of complexity. The circular form, though central, does not dominate, allowing the surrounding hues to share the spotlight. This print finds its place in a study or bedroom, where its serene presence complements a space dedicated to reflection.Questions about Radius
