About this artwork
A sea of red engulfs the canvas in Sam Francis' Red And Black. This artwork draws the viewer into a dynamic interplay of color and form, where the intensity of the red contrasts sharply with the deep, grounding black.
The painting's surface is a mosaic of splattered and pooled pigments. Drips and splashes create a sense of movement, as if the colors are still in motion. The black elements anchor the composition, providing a stark contrast to the fluid red. The interaction between these two colors gives the piece its emotional resonance.
This poster brings a bold visual experience to any room. It commands attention in a living room or adds depth to a study.
