About this artwork
A dynamic red oval floats above a web of intersecting lines and geometric forms. In Wassily Kandinsky's Red Oval, the central shape seems to hover, defying gravity and drawing the eye into its vivid glow. Below, a complex network of shapes and crosshatching creates a sense of movement and rhythm across the composition.
The bold red oval contrasts sharply with the cooler tones beneath it, where blues and greens dominate. Kandinsky's use of geometric abstraction is on full display here, with sharp angles and overlapping forms creating a visual symphony. The interplay of color and shape gives the artwork its energetic pulse, making it a focal point in any setting.
This poster brings a sense of modernist energy to a study or office, where its geometric precision can be appreciated up close.
