About this artwork

A narrow channel of water cuts through a vivid landscape in Alice Baber's Red Passage. The painting draws the eye into a world of bold contrasts and fluid transitions, where the boundaries between elements blur and shift. The artwork is dominated by a rich palette of reds, from deep crimson to bright scarlet, interspersed with patches of blue and green. The waterway, a central feature, is flanked by abstract forms that suggest foliage and rock, creating a sense of depth and movement. The interplay of colors and shapes gives the piece a dynamic, almost rhythmic quality. This poster brings energy to a quiet reading nook or study, where its vivid hues can inspire contemplation.
