About this artwork
Soft browns bleed into whites, then yield to a luminous red field. This is *Red, White, and Brown*, an abstract landscape of color by Mark Rothko. The hues here are both muted and intense, their edges blurred as if seen through mist. Rothko’s signature style of layered color creates depth, with the red appearing to glow from within. The brown grounds the composition, its earthy tone a counterpoint to the floating white band above. This print brings quiet intensity to a study or library, where its depth can be contemplated.Questions about Red, White, And Brown
