About this artwork
A tower engulfed in flames stands tall against a muted sky. Gerhard Richter's September confronts the viewer with a scene both devastating and serene, a moment frozen in time that speaks volumes without uttering a word. The artwork is a study in contrasts, with the bright, almost blinding orange and yellow of the flames set against the cool, subdued grays and blues of the sky and the tower. The flames consume the structure, yet the scene is eerily calm, devoid of the chaos one might expect. The tower, though aflame, stands resolute, a testament to the power of Richter's composition. This print commands attention in a study or office, where its contemplative nature can be fully appreciated. It invites quiet reflection and conversation.Questions about September
