About this artwork
Towering skyscrapers rise against a yellow backdrop in Josef Albers' Skyscrapers On Transparent Yellow. The urban landscape is both familiar and abstract, as the buildings stretch upward, their forms simplified yet unmistakable.
The artwork plays with transparency and opacity, as the yellow hue permeates the scene, unifying the composition. The skyscrapers, rendered in varying shades, create a sense of depth and dimension. The interplay of color and form is characteristic of Albers' exploration of perception and visual effects.
This poster brings a bold architectural presence to modern spaces, complementing contemporary decor with its geometric clarity.
